Prostate Health

The prostate is a walnut-sized gland in a men’s urinary tract. Benign growth of the prostate caused by the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DTH) can lead to voiding difficulties and lower urinary tract symptoms.

The conversion of testosterone is caused by the production of 5-alpha reductase, an enzyme that can be blocked by lignans in the diet. Prostate cancer occurs in the peripheral zone. As a hormonal cancer, lignans in the diet can play a role by inducing apoptosis and blocking receptors sites responsible for uncontrolled growth.

Dietary lignans play a powerful role in prostate health.

Fountain of Life is a compliment to our diets, replaces the lignans that are no longer in our foods from over-processing, which were once abundant in our food sources. ⠀
